If you want to go to the Philippines, I will bring you some answers in this article about the island of Boracay.
Comment s'y rendre?
Boracay se situe à 45 minutes de vol de Manille. Vous avez différentes options pour vous y rendre: bateau, bus et avion. Nous avons choisi l'avion. Cebu Pacific ou Philippines Airlines opèrent cette ligne (Manille - Boracay Caticlan). Le billet d'avion est approximativement 120€ par personne.
Petite astuce: lorsque vous arrivez à l'aéroport de Caticlan, vous n'êtes pas encore arrivé! Il faut encore prendre un petit bateau pendant 10 minutes. Des locaux peuvent vous proposer des tarifs tout compris avec le transport pour aller jusqu'au port, le ticket pour le bateau etc, mais en général c'est plus onéreux que de faire le trajet par soit même.
En sortant de Caticlan, prenez un tuc-tuc et le chauffeur vous emmènera directement au port pour 50 pesos (ils ont l'habitude!). Ensuite vous prenez votre ticket de bateau vous en avez pour approximativement 250 pesos à deux. Après le bateaux vous pouvez également prendre un tuc-tuc pour vous rendre à votre hôtel. L'île est petite donc les trajets coûtent toujours entre 150 et 200 pesos à deux.
How to get there?
It is a 45-minute flight from Manila. You have different options to get there: boat, bus and plane. We chose the plane. Cebu Pacific or Philippines Airlines operate this route (Manila - Boracay Caticlan). The air ticket is approximately 120 € per person.
Small tip: when you arrive at Caticlan airport, you have not arrived yet! You still have to take a small boat for 10 minutes. Local people can offer you all-inclusive fares with transport to the port, boat ticket etc. but in general it is more expensive than making the trip by itself.
Coming out of Caticlan, take a tuc-tuc and the driver will take you directly to the port for 50 pesos (they are used to it!). Then you take your boat ticket you get for about 250 pesos for two. After the boats you can also take a tuc-tuc to get to your hotel. The island is small so trips always cost between 150 and 200 pesos for two.
L'île est divisée en plusieurs stations:
La station 2 est la place centrale la plus animée, c'est ici qu'il y a le centre commercial, tous les restaurants, les bars, boîtes de nuits, et White beach.
La station 1, plus au nord, est beaucoup plus calme, ici sont installés les grands hôtels.
La station 3 est au sud et c'est un mélange de la station 2 et station 1!
The island is divided into several stations:
Station 2 is the busiest central square, it is the place to be, there are mall, all restaurants, bars, nightclubs, and white beach.
Station 1, further north, is much quieter, here are the big hotels.
Station 3 is south and it's a mix of Station 2 and Station 1!
Je peux vous conseiller le Ferra Hotel, situé à la station 2 où nous avons séjourné. L'hôtel est neuf et moderne, en retrait de la plage, ce qui apporte du calme. L'hôtel dispose d'une petite piscine très agréable.
Where to stay?
I can recommend the Ferra Hotel, located at Station 2 where we stayed. The hotel is new and modern, set back from the beach, which brings peace. The hotel has a very nice small pool.
Les plages
Boracay est l'île la plus touristique des Philippines. Le cadre y est paradisiaque: plage de sable blanc, eau turquoise, plage bordée de palmiers... l'occupation principale est donc de profiter de ce cadre et des plages de l'île.
La grande plage principale est White beach, c'est la plus touristique. Certes elle est magnifique, mais si vous souhaitez des plages plus tranquilles il faut s'éloigner un peu.
The beaches
Boracay is the most touristic island in the Philippines. The setting is paradise: white sandy beach, turquoise water, beach lined with palm trees ... the main occupation is to enjoy this setting and the beaches of the island.
The main beach is White Beach, it is the most touristy. Although it is beautiful, but if you want a quieter beach you have to get away a bit.

- White beach dont je vous parlais précédemment, située à l'ouest de l'île. Au couché du soleil, toute l'île s'y retrouve pour admirer le spectacle et ça en vaut vraiment le détour!
- White beach, which I mentioned earlier, located to the west of the island. At sunset, the whole island finds itself to admire the spectacle and it is really amazing!
- Diniwid beach est située au nord de White beach, c'est la plage des grands hôtels. Très sympa!
Vous avez la possibilité de louer des transats pour la journée dans certains hôtels. C'est ce que nous avons fait à L'ambassador in Paradise Hôtel pour 3000 pesos la journée à deux. Dans ce prix est compris la location des transats, boissons illimitées et nourriture à volonté.

You can rent sun loungers for the day in some hotels. This is what we did at L'Ambassador in Paradise Hotel for 3000 pesos a day for two. In this price is included the rental of deck chairs, unlimited drinks and unlimited food.
- Bulabog beach est la plage située du côté est de l'île. Il y a donc beaucoup de vent et c'est le paradis des kit surfs.
- Bulabog beach is the beach located on the east side of the island. So there is a lot of wind and it is the paradise of kit surfs.
Nombreux sont les locaux à vous proposer des excursions en bateaux. Attention à ne pas se faire avoir. Nous sommes passé par un local avec qui nous avions sympathisé sur la plage qui nous a emmener sur son bateau à voile pour une balade de 3h pour 2500 pesos à deux. Il a longé la côte ouest.
Il y a différents types d'excursions, seuls ou en groupe, bateaux à moteurs ou à voile...
Nous étions seuls avec 3 matelots et nous avons fait de la plongée. Renseignez-vous bien avant de vous lancer.
Boat trip
There are many places where boat trips can be arranged. Be careful not to get caught. We passed by a local with whom we had sympathized on the beach which took us on its sailing boat for a ride of 3h for 2,500 pesos for two. He walked along the west coast.
There are different types of excursions, alone or in groups, boats with motors or with sail ...
We were alone with 3 sailors and went diving. Inquire well before you get started.
Le point de vue de Mount Luho
Si vous souhaitez monter au point culminant de l'île, il faut aller à Mount Luho. Vous avez une vue à 360° sur l'île.

If you want to climb to the highest point of the island, go to Mount Luho. You have a 360 ° view of the island.
Où prendre un bon petit déjeuner?
Je vous conseille absolument le Lemoni Café and restaurant, situé dans la D-Mall. Nous y sommes allés deux fois et les petits déjeuners sont délicieux et très bien présentés.
Where to have a good breakfast?
I absolutely recommend the Lemoni Café and Restaurant, located in the D-Mall. We went twice and the breakfasts were delicious and very well presented.
